Yummy! Yummy! Seaweed!


Seaweed salad has become our #1 love from Japanese food restaurants all over Chicago. Our obsession with the delicious green appetizer procured a google search for seaweed salad recipes. It just showed us we need to make a trip to our local Japanese supermarket. This recipe was found on http://www.diy-sushi-recipes.com/seaweed-salad.html


Ingredients

• 3/8 oz dried wakame

• 3 tablespoons soy sauce

• 3 tablespoons rice vinegar (no seasoning)

• 1 teaspoon sugar

• 2 tablespoons sesame oil

• 2 scallions, thinly sliced

• 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger

• 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seed

How to prepare:

Soak dried wakame in warm water for about 5-8 minutes

Drain and put in a bowl of water. Remove quickly and sink into cold water

Combine vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and ginger in a bowl until sugar is liquefied.

Mix wakame and dressing.

Add with toasted sesame seeds and scallions

Cool in fridge before to serving.
