The bitter coldness of Chicago has kept many people staying in their cozy apartments watching movies, drinking hot chocolate or cuddling with someone. If any of them are like Andy and I, they are drinking bottles of Riesling wine and dancing to Lady Gaga while discussing ideas for a fashion blog.
After two weeks of winter vacation (Andy was in his home state of Minnesota, while I was in the northwest suburbs) we had a wonderful reunion over Viennese coffee at Kopi CafĂ© in Andersonville, Chicago. It’s what we call our second home.
The reason for our residence in the Windy City is art school related. Andy Sourdif attends the Illinois Institute of Art for fashion design. I (Rachael Tsuji) attend Columbia College for magazine journalism, preferably entertainment writing. Our love for fashion, music, and everything artsy gave us the idea of having a fashion blog. Not just about fashion, but Chicago, music, good food, people we meet, and the great experiences we have in the city.
Sunday night Andy and I got together to start the blog. We started writing down ideas for names, our interests, and our fashion icons, while doing so drinking glass after glass of wine. We finally setup this beautiful blog and felt so proud to have gotten that far that we decided to celebrate by going out dancing and karaoke.
The next morning we sat at the kitchen table reading glossy fashion mags and eating breadsticks we ordered from the night before. We are oh so classy.
Oh well two days later we have something to show.

Sounds like you two are living the good life. You better show me some cool places when I come visit.
